L. A. Bernstein started photography using images as reference materials for painting in oil and watercolor. Learning black and white darkroom techniques in college, Bernstein created a series of prints "Street Scenes" in New York City.
Bernstein has continued in photography for over twenty years, photographing a wide variety of subjects. Bernstein's images vibrantly capture the beauty of skylines, landscapes, and architecture; travelling in the Carribbean, South America, Europe, and throughout the South Pacific.
The photographic images currently on display at Millennial Renaissance Imagery are in the following categories:
AUSTRALIA
The Outback - Northern Territory
The Great Barrier Reef - Far North Queensland
Kangaroos and Koalas
Sydney - Australia
Classic New York City Skylines
Dramatic New Zealand Landscapes
World Trade Center - prior to 9-11-2001
Bernstein works predominantly using Nikon cameras, and prefers pro stock Kodachrome 64, Ektachrome 100VS and F, and
Velvia films.
As a SCUBA diver (PADI certified advanced diver and underwater photographer), Bernstein uses a Nikonis V underwater camera with SB 102 and 103 strobes.
